Camp Living Wonders' Staff in Training program is truly like no other.  Our fully inclusive S.I.T's are made up of neuro-typical rising 10th and 11th graders, who live, train, and travel alongside their older camper with special needs peers to learn to become the successful, extraordinary staff of the future.

Staff in training live the best of both worlds.  Not only do they partake in everyday camp activities, but they benefit from the incredible tutelage and guidance of some of the best practitioners and mentors in the camping world.  Whether its learning about behavior analysis or how to run art therapy workshops, vocational skills training, and even mock interviews, S.I.T's prepare to take the camp world by storm! S.I.T's have the opportunity to explore nature together on a three day backpacking trip, go whitewater rafting, run pop-up farmers markets, plan mass program days for camp, and in the end, be fully prepared to take on a staff position.

This prestigious program is growing by leaps and bounds and spots fill up very quickly.

The application process requires a video essay, recommendations, and an interview.

We look forward to seeing you shape the future!

The Madrich program is a unique program for Camp Living Wonders.  We integrate adults and and teenagers over the age of 18 with special needs with our counselors to create an inclusive leadership opportunity.  Our staff from the Madrich program are valued members of our team, providing invaluable expertise to our staff and campers.  The Madrich program is designed to provide a supportive environment within a Jewish community for the participants entering the work force.  Madrich will develop leadship skills incorporating Jewish values through shadowing and independent work.

The jobs our Madrich perform are crucial to the operation of camp; therefore, they must be undertaken in a serious and responsible way.  Although a fun and invigorating environment, the hours are long and demanding, so physical stamina is necessary.  A mature and cheerful outlook is a prerequisite.  Each Madrich will work with our counselors, specialist and directors within their areas of interest.

Camp Living Wonders offers our Madrich four areas of interest to pursue.

Jr Counselor:

Madrich will be asked to live in a cabin with two or more Sr counselors and eight to ten campers.  They will work closely with our counselors assisting them in the care of Camp Living Wonder campers.

Madrich will collaborate with our specialist in the various electives that we offer at Camp Living Wonders.  Examples of these are Art, Music, Gardening and Sports

Kitchen and Dinning:

If your interest is within the culinary world, this opportunity allows you to work with our Kitchen team to master and develop your cooking skills.

This will allow you to be involved with all the “behind the scenes” operations of Camp Living Wonders from maintenance, to working in the office and IT.
